Equalizr.ai

Introduction

Equalizr.ai ("Equalizr," "we," "us," or "our") operates an AI-powered software development platform that enables users to build websites, mobile applications, and enterprise SaaS products. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, create an account, subscribe to our services, or otherwise interact with our platform.

This policy applies to all users of Equalizr.ai, including our core development platform, Equalizr OS suite (CRM, payments, scheduling, invoices, and HR modules), and any related services or tools we provide. By using Equalizr.ai, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the practices described in this policy, please do not use our services. We encourage you to review this policy periodically, as it may be updated from time to time.

When you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or contact us, we collect:

Account information: your name, email address, company name, job title, and password

Project data: code, configurations, prompts, and other content you create or upload through the platform

Communications: messages you send to our support team, feedback, and survey responses

When you use our platform, we automatically collect certain technical and usage data:

Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution

Usage data: features accessed, pages viewed, session duration, click patterns, and navigation paths within the platform

AI interaction data: metadata about your interactions with our AI development tools, including prompt frequency, response times, and feature utilization (the content of prompts is addressed separately below)

Log data: server logs, error reports, and performance metrics

We may receive information about you from third-party sources, including identity verification services, payment processors (such as Stripe), analytics providers, and publicly available business directories. If you sign in via a third-party authentication provider (e.g., Google or GitHub), we receive your name, email address, and profile information as authorized by your settings with that provider.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Service delivery: to provide, maintain, and improve the Equalizr.ai platform, including AI-powered development features, Equalizr OS modules, and hosted application infrastructure

Billing and subscriptions: to process your $199/month subscription payments, manage invoices, handle refunds, and prevent fraud

AI processing: to send your development prompts to Anthropic's Claude AI for code generation, debugging, and other development tasks, and to deliver the resulting outputs back to you

Analytics and improvement: to understand how users interact with our platform, identify trends, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features

Communications: to send you transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, security alerts), product updates, and, with your consent, marketing communications

Security and compliance: to detect and prevent abuse, unauthorized access, and fraudulent activity, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations

Customer support: to respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance

AI-Specific Data Practices

Because Equalizr.ai integrates artificial intelligence into its core functionality, we want to be especially transparent about how your data interacts with AI systems.

Prompts and inputs. When you use our AI-powered development tools, the prompts, code snippets, and instructions you provide are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. These inputs are sent via encrypted connections and are used solely to generate the responses you request. Equalizr does not use your prompts or project content to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models.

AI outputs. The code, text, and other outputs generated by Claude in response to your prompts are delivered to your account and treated as your project data. We retain AI outputs only as part of your project history and session logs, which you can delete at any time.

Third-party AI provider. Anthropic, the provider of Claude, processes your prompts under their API data usage policies. Under our agreement with Anthropic, data sent through their API is not used to train their models. We encourage you to review Anthropic's privacy policy for additional details on how they handle API data.

Metadata and analytics. We may collect anonymized, aggregated metadata about AI interactions (such as average prompt length, feature popularity, and error rates) to improve our platform. This metadata does not include the content of your prompts or outputs.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the platform:

Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosts your applications and stores project data on infrastructure located in the United States

Anthropic: processes AI development prompts and generates code outputs through the Claude API

Stripe: securely processes subscription payments, manages billing, and handles payment card data (Equalizr never stores your full card number)

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Business transfers. If Equalizr.ai is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

With your consent. We may share your information for purposes not described in this policy if we have obtained your explicit consent.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our platform. The types of cookies we use include:

Essential cookies: required for core platform functionality, including authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled without impairing the service.

Analytics cookies: help us understand how users interact with the platform, which features are most popular, and where users encounter issues. We use this data in aggregate to improve the product.

Preference cookies: remember your settings, such as language, theme, editor configuration, and layout preferences, so you do not need to reconfigure them each session.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect the core functionality of the platform, though some personalization features may be limited.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specific retention periods include:

Account data: retained for the duration of your account and for 30 days after account closure to allow for reactivation

Project data and AI session logs: retained while your account is active; permanently deleted within 90 days of account closure unless you request earlier deletion

Billing records: retained for up to 7 years after the last transaction to comply with tax and financial regulations

Server and security logs: retained for up to 12 months for security monitoring and incident investigation

When you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with the timelines above, except where retention is required by law. Hosted applications built on our platform will be taken offline upon account closure, and associated data will be permanently removed within 90 days.

Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect it:

Encryption: all data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher, and at rest using AES-256 encryption on AWS infrastructure

Access controls: employee access to customer data is restricted on a need-to-know basis, protected by multi-factor authentication, and subject to regular access reviews

Infrastructure security: our AWS infrastructure is configured with network isolation, automated vulnerability scanning, and continuous monitoring

Incident response: we maintain an incident response plan and will notify affected users of any data breach within 72 hours of discovery, in accordance with applicable regulations

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to continuously improving our security practices.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you

Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information

Deletion: request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements

Portability: request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format

Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us directly

Restriction: request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances

Objection: object to processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing your data includes performance of a contract (providing our services), legitimate interests (improving our platform and ensuring security), and consent (where applicable, such as marketing communications).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your data, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. To submit a request, contact us at privacy@equalizr.ai. We will verify your identity before processing any request.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@equalizr.ai. We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days.

International Data Transfers

Equalizr.ai is headquartered in the United States, and our primary infrastructure is hosted on AWS in U.S. regions. If you access our services from outside the United States, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence.

For transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms to ensure your data is adequately protected, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. We also ensure that our key service providers (AWS, Anthropic, and Stripe) maintain appropriate data transfer safeguards.

By using Equalizr.ai, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your own. If you have questions about how your data is transferred or protected, please contact us at privacy@equalizr.ai.

Children's Privacy

Equalizr.ai is designed for professional and business use and is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@equalizr.ai so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or business operations. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes that significantly affect how we handle your personal data, we will provide prominent notice through the platform (such as a banner notification) and, where required by law, send you an email notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Equalizr.ai after the effective date of any updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
